Description
We are seeking an individual for the Road Mechanic position with experience in our Greer, SC area. Wages starting at $23.00/hr. for entry level candidates. Higher pay for skilled Mechanic. The successful candidate for this role should have a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and diagnose a wide range of service issues that affect major components of paving and grading equipment as well as highway diesel trucks.  Tasks may also include general work around the shop operation and other duties as assigned. This opening is for days with occasional night shifts. Overtime is required as needed.  The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence and be a self-starter. 
Qualifications 
Minimum of 4-5 years’ experience as a mechanic and/or specialized training
Aptitude and ability to diagnose and perform repairs.
Experience working on asphalt and grading equipment.
Must be able to pass a DOT physical.
Valid driver's license, and safe driving record
Must have a positive attitude and demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
The individual shall be dedicated to always working safely.
Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
