What You Will Be Doing

We're currently seeking a Senior Production Operations Specialist to join our team in Greenville, South Carolina, where you'll play a crucial role in supporting the production processes of the F-16 Block 70. As a Senior Production Operations Specialist, for the weekend shift (Fri-Sun), you'll be an integral part of our team-based manufacturing environment, supporting all phases of the F-16 Manufacturing and Assembly process. From On-the-Job training to assessing and instructing technicians, you'll ensure the highest standards of quality and proficiency are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain a comprehensive understanding and application of aircraft manufacturing principles, concepts, and standards.
- Maintain daily vigilance on the assembly line to identify and address deficiencies in structural assembly processes, procedures, or personnel skills.
- Interface with personnel for re-certification purposes and make recommendations for de-certification when necessary.
- Develop solutions to complex problems in aircraft manufacturing processes, leveraging industry precedents and policies.
- Support corrective action investigations, root cause analysis, and process improvements, while maintaining 6S/lean processes.
- Demonstrate proficiency in standards, principles, theories, and concepts relevant to the role

Basic Qualifications:
At least 5 years of experience in Aviation Production or Maintenance, Modification, Repair and Overhaul (MMRO) Operations.
Experience leading a team to meet critical schedules, resolve complex and/or time sensitive technical or operational issues.
Experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
Experience interacting with internal/external customers.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Desired Skills:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college
Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize assignments.
Previously awarded an Air Force, Marine, or Navy 7 level discipline skill level rating or possess equivalent civilian experience with associated credential such as an licensed FAA “Airframe and Power" plant or Inspector Airframe license.
Previous experience in aviation structural repair or manufacturing associated with drill, ream, and countersink knowledge - skill - and abilities.
Ability to create and utilize metrics related to performance.
Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience.
Demonstrated ability to create, monitor and report on all executive operations metrics.
Experience in Lean Manufacturing or processes.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
