Skyline Elite SC is seeking a director to lead its Girls Academy program which competes in the Mid-Atlantic Conference of the Girls Academy League.
The Girls Academy Director is responsible to carry out the mission of the Skyline Elite Soccer Club. Prime responsibilities include management and oversight of the girls program of Skyline Elite, currently six teams U13-U19. The GA Director
works with the Technical Director to plan, develop, execute and evaluate a systematic player and coach development program for the Skyline Elite club.
The Girls Academy Director is a member of the staff leadership team, an authority on
soccer development, leader of the girls’ team coaches, a chief communicator of the club’s philosophy and policy, and representative to Skyline Elite’s various constituencies. Other responsibilities include specific and general duties required to operate, manage and develop the club to meet its stated mission.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Program Oversight - Will be actively involved in all aspects of player and coach
program development. Will provide guidance, insight and direction to girls’ team
coaches. Will work closely with staff members to maximize program benefits to
participants.
• Program Development - Will participate in the planning, development and
implementation of player development programs as may be determined to be
necessary for the successful completion of the Skyline Elite mission.
• Player Development Plan - With other Technical Staff members, tasked with
writing and maintaining a comprehensive plan outlining the philosophy, methods,
style of play and curriculum of Skyline Elite and VSA programs.
• Team Coaching - Will be the head coach for up to two teams per season, as
required to fill coaching assignments with appropriate quality.
• College Recruitment Process - Instrumental in connecting girls’ players with
college opportunities. Managing and guiding female players through the college
recruitment process. Participate in the organization of an annual seminar on
college recruitment for all high school-aged Skyline Elite participants.
• Game day Coordination - Will coordinate with opposing club director to ensure
smooth match days for Skyline Elite girls’ teams, with confirmed game times,
directions, uniform choice, etc. When hosting a match day this includes setting
up the facility, confirming Athletic Trainers, ice and water as necessary, Hudl
match recording systems, bench area tents, etc.
• Club Promotions and Marketing - Will manage social media accounts, contribute
to news items distributed through electronic outlets, maintain web page updates,
and assist with club promotional efforts as directed and necessary.
