Job Title:Product ManagerLocation:CityScapeWhat you'll do:The Product Manager – Digital Payments is responsible for identifying, launching, and maintaining innovative payments products delivered through Western Alliance Bank’s various channels inclusive of mobile, on-line, and APIs. The Product Manager – Digital Payments, reporting to a Senior Product Manager, will be responsible for the identified introduction of new and emerging payment types, API delivered payment services, and Real-Time Payments strategic initiatives which include B2B, B2C, and C2B payments.. To accomplish this, you will partner with Information Technology to clearly articulate what capabilities should be developed or optimized and why, drive the selected overall vision and product strategy to a coherent whole, gain buy-in for investment in new capabilities and work closely with internal and external delivery resources to help determine best implementation methods and schedule to deliver scalable solutions. This role will manage a suite of products in various stages of the product lifecycle and will be responsible for the profitability, viability, sustainability, and future enhancements for this product suite. Will conduct research, analysis, design, development, pricing, vendor relationships, and implementation of new products introduced as a part of the Digital and Payables Product Suite. Will help create and implement business strategy development and delivery in conjunction with business partners. The Product Manager - Digital Payments will be responsible for effectively communicating with Senior Leadership. This role will work closely with Marketing, Sales, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Customer Service, IT, Project Management, customers, external vendors/partners, and other stakeholders through all phases of product development and rollout. This position will report to the Senior Product Manager - Digital Payments to create a current and future state strategic roadmap of solutions.What we are looking for: Responsible for the full lifestyle management of assigned products including development, maintenance, enhancements, and exitPerforms market research to monitor trends and make relevant recommendations to product suite and pricing strategyConducts research and analysis for the design, development, and implementation of new products and modification and enhancements to existing productsDevelop business cases, obtain approvals, monitor results and effectiveness of service delivery, and perform ongoing analysis as requiredDevelop and distribute appropriate communication and performance reporting to stakeholders and managementPartner with Marketing and Training to develop a communication strategy and implementation to customer facing employeesPartner with Marketing, Operations, and Affiliate banks to establish and review product pricing and product profitabilityResponsible for identification of new payments and commerce products, services, capabilities, and use cases enabled by relevant emerging technologies. Evaluates opportunities and makes recommendations to leadership regarding new products, capabilities, and services, and leads concept development and engagement of appropriate delivery teamsWork closely with engineers, designers, and leadership to design & deliver products that advance the Western Alliance Bank missionResearch and stay ahead of new and upcoming technology in the crypto space and build relationships with key community membersPrepare and maintain documentation related to the sales, delivery, and implementation of assigned productsOversee the conversion of customers into new and existing product linesCreate client feedback loops into the product development lifecycle, incorporating clientfeedback into the development of product roadmaps and initiativesServes as the liaison to the IT department for the assigned productsResponsible for ensuring product suite is compliant with applicable banking laws and regulationsDevelop and apply understanding of performance, revenue, cost drivers, and opportunities for improvementDeliver healthy product(s) profit margin and revenue growth for assigned productsManage cross-enterprise matrixed teams for assigned products to create and manage business cases, measure ongoing service levels and profitability, and deliver an excellent customer experienceDevelop and distribute appropriate communication to stakeholders. Develop and distribute management reportingStay current with consumer regulations and regulatory compliance changesWhat you will need: Bachelor Degree is required, preferably in a Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field.5 years minimum, 10 years or more preferred experience in Banking, Financial Services or Financial Technology industry experience is required5 years of direct experience in financial services product management to include digital channels and payables, requiredStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to project a professional demeanor when interacting with vendors, customers, and leadershipA combination of Product and Project Management experience for large-scale and high impact initiativesExperience creating financial models, pricing, and business casesAbility to multi-task and to manage competing prioritiesStrong documentation skillsConceptual / strategic aptitude requiredPrior experience with systems engineering preferredKnowledge and experience with client-facing API’s and modern data conceptsPrior experience in developing and launching new digital payment products inclusive of Zelle, Real-Time, and other instant payment types preferredCash management, digital banking, digital solutions, and digital channels experience strongly preferredExperience working with innovative and emerging technology and understanding of its current/potential impact on the traditional banking space strongly preferredExperience working with client facing mobile and online channels preferredExperience with vendor management requiredCompensation: Salary range for new hires is generally $160,280.00 - $200,000.00 for New York, NY. Salary amount is determined by specific job location.
