About Our Client Our client specializes in high-temperature insulation for automotive engine components, managing the entire production process in-house from raw material to finished product. With a meticulous manual manufacturing process, they cater to clients like Corvette, BMW, and Stellantis, serving diverse automotive sectors including 18-wheeler trucks and race cars, with operations in Greenville and Mexico.
Job Description • Customer Project Coordination:
• Serve as primary point of contact for quality-related matters with customers.
• Lead 8D management process for customer complaints.
• Coordinate external/customer audits and implement changes to customer standards.
• Quality Engineering:
• Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot process issues.
• Generate cost-saving recommendations and support problem-solving efforts.
• Quality Assurance:
• Coordinate IATF-16949 compliance activities and manage customer audits.
• Implement statistical process control (SPC) methods for process analysis.
• Oversee documentation compliance, including procedures and work instructions.
• Coordinate internal audits and ensure equipment calibration.
• Facilitate quality system training for employees and maintain efficient filing systems.

The Successful Applicant • 5-7 years of engineering experience with a B.S. degree or 10 years with an A.S. degree
• Expertise in metal fabrication preferred
• Strong background in handling automotive customers
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally from floor employees to COO
• Knowledge of auditing is a plus
• Proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC)
• Familiarity with TPS or other Lean Manufacturing methodologies
• Experience with automotive customer portals desired
• Competent in completing Gage R&Rs, capability studies, and utilizing quality tools
