Job Summary:

We are seeking a Payment Posting Representative to join our billing department. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure the accurate and timely posting of payments received from patients and insurance companies. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and experience working in the healthcare industry. We are open to someone entry level who wants to break into the industry and is willing to be trained and wants to learn.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accurately post payments and adjustments to patient accounts, including insurance and patient payments.
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies and billing issues.
- Ensure that all payments are posted in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payment records.
- Review and reconcile daily payment reports.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the billing department to ensure that all payment-related tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Keep abreast of changes in billing regulations, insurance policies, and payment procedures.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of payment posting experience, preferably in the healthcare industry.
- Knowledge of Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and insurance payment posting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and billing software.
