Discover a career where you can be you!POSITION SUMMARY:The Volunteer Coordinator works under the direction of the Director of Hospice and is responsible for the development, maintenance and compliance of the hospice volunteer program. Recruitment, training and retention of hospice volunteersVolunteer scheduling, monitoring and supervision of activitiesDevelop, update and maintain department policy and proceduresDepartment record keeping and reportingWorks closely with hospice interdisciplinary teamParticipates in community relations including public speakingJOB REQUIREMENTSBaccalaureate degree with a minimum of one-year applicable experience.Management of volunteers and/or hospice experience preferred.Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations preferred.Previous administrative and/or supervisory experience preferred.Knowledge of the use of laptop computer, Microsoft programs, printer, copier, fax, and telephone (Knowledge and Comfortable with computer programs important)Valid SC driver’s license, automobile insurance and ability to travel within the service area (Greenville, Spartanburg, Pickens, Anderson and Laurens counties)Primary hours Monday - Friday 830 - 5pm.
