Job Description
SUMMARY
The Quality Inspector III is integral to our commitment to excellence, conducting thorough receiving, in-process, and final inspections across a diverse range of products, including cable and connector components, precision CNC-manufactured parts, and intricate cable assemblies. Additionally, this role is responsible for executing strategic internal audits to ensure the integrity and consistency of our production processes.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Uses precision metrology instruments, such as micrometers, digital indicators, comparators, plain plugs, plain rings, thread plugs and rings, and profilometers, to ensure meticulous measurements.
• Records measurements meticulously and document data clearly on internal and external records.
• Employs microscopes for quality control, making pass/fail assessments on attribute defects in alignment with customer specifications.
• Interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications with accuracy.
• Conducts comprehensive final inspections of products and materials using engineering and Process Control Drawings and diligently completes all associated inspection reports.
• Adhere to ISO 9001 / AS9100 quality standards, ensuring compliance with established quality management systems.
• Generates detailed non-conformance reports for materials that do not meet quality standards.
• Works in a clean room environment supporting space-grade cable assembly production.
• Acquires and upholds X-ray evaluator certification to assess the integrity of finished products.
• Executes internal audits of the production process and prepares thorough audit reports.
• Programs and operates advanced measurement equipment such as Micro-Vu, Keyence, and OGP Smart Scope for precise component analysis.
• Prepares and executes parts on sophisticated measurement systems for accurate results.
• Demonstrates proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) for clearly and precisely communicating mechanical engineering drawings.
• Performs necessary internal calibrations to ensure measurement accuracy.
• Carries out setup, in-process, and final inspections in accordance with a Quality Inspection Plan, while maintaining accurate third-party quality documentation.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
• High school diploma or equivalent, further education or certification in quality control is a plus.
• 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment; inspection experience preferred.
• Background in aerospace, defense, or cable assembly industries favored.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Conversational in any other language is a plus.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
• Basic arithmetic: add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Statistics: Interpret and analyze numerical data using statistical methods.
• Basic algebra: The ability to manipulate symbols and equations to find unknown values, express relationships, and model situations.
• Basic Geometry: The ability to understand and work with shapes, angles, lines, and planes.
JOB SKILLS
• Beginner in MS Office Suite and SharePoint.
• Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP) preferred.
• Working knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies.
• Solid commitment to excellence and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment with minimum supervision.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
• Willingness to work in a flexible environment and to be cross-trained on multiple products and processes.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical requirements outlined below indicate those necessary to fulfill this position's core responsibilities. While performing job duties, the employee will regularly engage in activities such as using hands to finger, handle, or feel and communicating verbally. Additionally, the employee will frequently need to reach with hands and arms while standing and walking as part of the role. Occasional lifting and movement of objects weighing up to fifty (50) pounds and using a ladder may be required. PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS
• ASTM F–2412–2005, ANSI Z41–1999, or ANSI Z41–1991 rated safety toe shoes in specific areas.
• Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety-rated glasses in specific areas.
• Hearing protection in specific locations.
• Ability to compile with JSA in specific areas.
