MAU is hiring an Accounting and Business Process Specialist at our client in Greer, SC. As an Accounting and Business Process Specialist, you will be responsible for project coordination for accounting and compliance, in assisting in the financial process review for the accounting activities and ensuring accounting practices are following IFRS and our client’s AG guidelines. You will also review internal controls in processes to ensure optimal efficiency. This is a long-term contract assignment.
Our client, a premier automotive company, is located in the upstate area of SC.

Shift Information • 1st shift, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Required Education and Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of accounting experience
General Requirements • Advanced knowledge of US and IFRS accounting principles and internal control requirements
• Advanced ability to review financial data and interpret results
• Expert project management skills
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Applications with an emphasis on MS Access and Excel
• Advanced ability to be a self-starter with minimal supervision
• Expert problem-solving ability
• Advanced presentation, process analysis, and communication skills
• Expert proficiency in PC spreadsheets and general Windows environment
• Expert general ledge and general account maintenance knowledge
• Expert ability to initiate improvements, set direction, think analytically, take ownership, work collaboratively, adapt to change, and think strategically
• Advanced ability to develop talent, communicate for results, focus on the customer, and act with integrity
• Advanced knowledge of the business
Preferred Requirements • SAP experience in FI, CO, and MM modules
• Manufacturing experience
• Ability to read, write, and speak German
Essential Functions • Coordinate the department project effort including scheduling, agreement with participants and overseeing testing, documentation, user training reporting on progress and results
• Coordinate projects as agreed by management including planning, concept development, implementation, and documentation, testing, and training
• Represent the department in cross function projects and coordinate the project needs with affected department members
• Ensure accounting practices and reporting comply with IFRS principles and our client’s AG guidelines
• Review, maintain, and monitor the segregation of duties as represented by the system monitoring tool (BizRights APPROVA)
• Include negotiating changes and mitigations with departments to maintain acceptable control
• Develop and maintain Internal Control System (ICS) documentation including evaluating the effectiveness of controls and recommending changes
• Coordinate ICS activities with our client’s AG
• Coordinate internal audit responses with departments
• Assist with the coordination of financial audits
• Perform other tasks as required
Travel • Domestically or internationally as needed for projects, meetings, training, etc.
