Schedule : June 10th – July 26th, 2:00 - 5:30 *no camp July 1-5th, 2024 *training will be scheduled before camp Overview : We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Late Stay Teacher to oversee our late stay program at our summer arts camp. The Lead Late Stay Teacher will be responsible for creating a safe and engaging environment for campers during the extended hours, fostering positive relationships, and providing enriching activities that complement the camp experience. The Lead Late Stay Teacher does not need arts experience. Responsibilities and Duties: ● Lead Late Stay Teacher will manage after-camp programs such as daily group clubs, games, crafts, free time, activities, etc. ● Supervise and monitor campers during the afternoon late stay program, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. ● Provide guidance, support, and conflict resolution strategies to help campers navigate social interactions and resolve conflicts peacefully. ● Collaborate with other camp counselors and staff to coordinate schedules, transitions, and special events for campers participating in the late stay program. ● Maintain a clean and organized environment, including supervising snack time and assisting with cleanup and tidying tasks as needed. Requirements : ● Education: High School or equivalent (required), Bachelors preferred ● Experience with children: 2 years (required) ● Minimum age of 21 ● Ability to pass a background check ● Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred, but not required) Our Mission –"Through artistic experiences, cultural workshops, and academic programs, Mosaic Educational and Arts Program sparks joy, imagination, and cultural pride in youth whose second language is English, as well as holistic growth and resources for the whole family."
