Responsibilities: The Patient Service Representative is responsible for: * Answering the telephone in a prompt and courteous manner * Triage clinical and administrative phone calls appropriately * Patient registration and scheduling and rescheduling * Verifying and entering insurance information * Customer service in a friendly and professional manner. * Maintain high level of accuracy and productivity * Make new patient packets as necessary and prepare outgoing mail for patients. * Provide support for billing staff * Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS * High School Diploma or GED (Required) * 2 year Associate Degree (preferred) EXPERIENCE and SKILLS * 2+ years experience using an electronic medical record and billing system. * 2+ years experience working in the medical field in a similar position. * Knowledge of medical terminology required.
