Job Summary: We are a steel fabricator seeking a skilled Saw Operator to join our team. The Saw Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining saw equipment to cut various materials according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical discharge machining, blueprint reading, and using calipers to ensure accurate measurements. Responsibilities Setting up, adjusting, and operating saws to cut raw materials Utilizing technical drawings, written instructions, and verbal instructions to produce dimensionally correct parts Performing secondary processes (including, but not limited to: deburring parts and running additional pieces of equipment) while the machine is running Inspecting materials before cutting Inspecting parts before and after production to verify conformance to specifications on the work order Loading and unloading materials and parts from machines, racks, tables, carts, palletts, baskets, and boxes Reading work orders, labels, tags, and other documents Cleaning and maintaining the saw area. Performing routine maintenance saws in accordance with established procedures · Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience operating saw equipment preferred Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM) is a plus Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Proficient in using calipers and other measuring instruments Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) Experience with tooling, lathe, CNC machines is a plus Forklift certification is a plus If you meet the qualifications outlined above and are interested in joining our team as a Saw Operator, please apply with your updated resume.
