Job Responsibilities Installs, maintains, tests, and repairs systems and networks. Utilizes technical knowledge to implement and support IT initiatives. Responsible for analyzing, troubleshooting and evaluating technology issues. Performs general problem-solving and assistance on diverse software applications and hardware systems for users. Provides individual and/or group instruction and training to staff on new or updated technologies. Performs varied support and maintenance duties; maintains and updates record-keeping systems; documents projects; writes and maintains user instructions as well as work instructions. Coordinates, maintain , and inputs applicable records such as, but not limited to, network users, security, and tracking inventory levels of equipment and materials. Performs moderate to advanced technological systems support, maintenance, and testing for proper upkeep of systems; may troubleshoot and resolve complex system hardware, software, and network failures and conflicts. Participates in the review, evaluation , and recommendation of solutions relating to hardware and software acquisitions and/or network updates. Participates in research and development initiatives and aids in the implementation of new technologies. Participates in and may be main point of contact for development of IT disaster recovery plans and procedures. Works with external vendors and suppliers to ensure hardware and software systems are maintained, up-to-date, and functioning efficiently. Serves as a primary project member on technology projects with moderate scope and impact; may provide guidance and integration of other staff work. May participate in technology projects with large scope and broad organizational impact. Performs the installation, configuration , and maintenance of computers, workstations , and other related equipment and devices. Maintains currency of knowledge with respect to technology, equipment, applicable laws, regulations, standards , and/or systems. System set up for new hires. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by supervisor. Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other technical degree or equivalent experience Strong troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with Apple OSX, Windows 10 and 11, and Linux. Extensive experience providing support for Windows and Apple computers. Experience with Linux recommended. Ability to provide timely resolutions for all end-user requests and root cause analysis for issues. Knowledge of a wide range of computer systems software, applications, hardware, networking, and communications. Ability to perform preventive maintenance on systems software, applications, hardware, networking, and communications. Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in the area of expertise. Ability to provide functional direction to other employees. Must be able to create clear and detailed technical documentation. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a cross-functional team. Flexible enough to work with different technical skill levels and skill sets. Ability to work in a highly dynamic environment. Ability to determine computer problems and coordinate hardware, software, and/or network solutions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive to company locations when required. Must have a minimum of 2 years of previous experience. Work Environment/Physical Demands: Office, Manufacturing, and Warehousing Environment Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
