Job Description Position Summary The Preventive Maintenance (PM) Technician/Material Handler will work closely with the HSE department and will be responsible for container management, inventory control, and compliance of the 90-Day storage area and the Oil House. The Preventive Maintenance (PM) Technician/Material Handler is also responsible for performing preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, tools, and/or buildings on a routine basis at previously established optimum frequency. These responsibilities will be completed through established computer work procedures utilizing SAP and the CMMS inventory tracking program. Position Responsibilities - Essential Plan, coordinate, and perform preventive maintenance to be performed on equipment, machinery, tools, and/or buildings Review manufacturers’ service manuals, facility’s usage schedules, and records of maintenance problems, inspection, and repair reports to determine optimum frequency of preventive maintenance they are to perform Study production and operation schedules and confers with staff to determine when to perform planned maintenance to avoid interference with operations of facility Schedule and perform inspections of equipment, machinery, tools, and/or buildings Estimate costs associated with scheduled maintenance Maintain records of planned and completed maintenance performed Coordinate activities for hazardous and non-hazardous fluids and materials to include organization, issuing and receiving fluids and materials, verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments, and preparing items for shipping Load and unload fluids from a tractor-trailer Transport fluids and materials as needed Ensure that both facilities are compliant with regulations set by OSHA and other governing entities Maintain clean work area and participate in 5S strategies Determine space requirements and position of fluids and materials in storage Ensure all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed before, during, and after the process to foster a positive safety culture by having a safety-first mindset and approach during execution of activities Based on the nature of the essential functions associated with this role, GreenWood has designated this as a “safety-sensitive” position Position Responsibilities - Non-Essential/Other Conduct process inspection, certification, and documentation Other duties and special projects as assigned Essential Skills and Experience High School graduate or GED equivalent Minimum 2-3 years production maintenance experience Ability to prioritize with an emphasis on quality of work Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Ability to obtain a forklift certification and operate a seated forklift Prior knowledge of handling, transporting, and storing hazardous and non-hazardous waste Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail Demonstrates a high level of customer service and strong communication (both listening and speaking) and interpersonal skills Experience demonstrating successful support of a positive safety culture Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation(s) Beneficial Skills and Experience Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance and/or completion of a craft apprenticeship or technical certification Greater than 3 years of experience as a maintenance technician Previous tig and stick welding experience may be preferred Basic operating knowledge of SAP Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) knowledge Ability to complete a pulmonary function test and a fit test to wear a respirator which requires the individual to be clean shaven with the exception of a mustache not extending beyond the edges of the mouth Company Description We are a customer-focused, integrated maintenance company operating projects throughout the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic states.
