Risk Management Officer Job Code RMO Job Family Supervisory Yes Job Summary The Risk Management Officer will assess and direct the development of risk management and loss prevention programs to mitigate operational, regulatory, and technological risks. Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Develops the Bank's short- and long-term risk management strategy Ensures that processes and controls are in place to meet compliance regulations and internal policy controls; ensures policies and procedures meet legal, regulatory or contractual requirements Creates and administers an organizational framework for identifying, measuring, and responding to internal and external risks Evaluates risk/return balance associated with relationships, business opportunities, or product/service offerings Coordinates with executive team for strategic planning and implementing policies, processes, personnel, reports and systems for managing and monitoring risk exposure Delivers risk reporting to senior management and the board Integrates risk management with strategic goal settings and business planning Education, Experience and Qualifications Education Required/Preferred Education Level Description Required Bachelors Degree Degree in accounting/finance/business, law, or related field preferred Preferred Graduate Degree Years of Experience Minimum Comments 6 Six (6) years of experience in banking, accounting, law, risk management, or related field required License / Certification Required/Preferred License / Certification Description Additional Qualifications Computer experience required; experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred Core Competencies Decision-making skills Leadership skills Management skills Ability to drive strategic direction Oral and written communication skills Ability to work as part of a team Working Conditions Working Conditions Indoors, environmentally controlled.
