Vision Printing and Graphics is a wide format graphics and signage company looking to hire a Prepress Technician to assist in the daily proofing and set-up of production files in digital printing, screen printing, and digital cutting. We are looking for someone with good attention to detail and time management skills. RESPONSIBILITES: - Receiving work orders and scheduling them into a daily schedule. - Analyzing the requests and expectations of the customer to determine desired outcome of graphic projects. - Analyzing and incorporating engineering notes into prepress methodology to optimize yield, material usage, and manufacturing procedures. - Producing a digital proof for customers to the required specifications of the project; making adjustments as needed. - Maintaining a line of communication with the customer by email and/or phone to ensure requirements are met in the prepress stage of production. - Making necessary adjustments to meet the customer's desired outcome will operating within the parameters of available material and production processes. - Setting up print-ready, cut-ready files utilizing Illustrator and RIP software. - Communicate with customer service and department personnel about customer expectations and project specifications. REQUIREMENTS: - Intermediate computer skill level - Experience in Adobe Illustrator - Must be able to accurately read and convey measurements with the use of a ruler, tape measure, and calipers, as well as convert measurements using a conversion chart or digital tools. BENEFICIAL: - Experience with Caldera RIP software is a plus - Any prior print shop or graphics manufacturing experience is a plus NOTE: Position primarily consists of working with customer provided logos and images.
