Summary, General Function Of Job
Under direct supervision of Senior Director of Ticketing – the GTSC Account Executive is responsible for actively selling new season tickets, group, themed single game packages, & STM renewals. The ticket sales packages offered are driven by the specific campaign. Meeting criteria such as: outbound call volume, sales revenue, and face to face meetings are critical for success in this role. Responsibilities may include events within 30 miles of GTSC Headquarters. You may be asked to carry boxes that weigh 5-30 lbs. in weight, working trade shows or GTSC booth at local non-profit events throughout Upstate South Carolina.
This position will actively sell the following products: A full cart of products (Premium on-field VIP seating, Corporate hospitality spaces, general full season tickets, flex tickets, group, and single game themed packaged for Greenville Triumph Soccer Club and Greenville Liberty.
List Of Key Activities
• Identify new business opportunities
• General sales leads to facility the maximum number of sales and revenue
• Prospect, qualify and close leads over the phone or in face-to-face appointments at Greenville Triumph, or off campus with prospect
• Responsible for establishing a relationship with individual game buyers and other fans of Greenville Triumph and Greenville Liberty to generate new business
• Meet or exceed daily call minimums
• Build relationships with current clients ensuring high renewal rates
• Maintain electronic account records for the upkeep of customer relationship management database
• Work within a team environment to achieve common department goals
• Provide excellent customer care and quality service to our customers
• Organize and be the point of contact for meet-and-greet with pre-match & post-match VIP’s
• Join professional associations, attend networking events, and gain awareness of our product/competition in the local business community
• Meet or exceed weekly, monthly, and long-term sales goals in the areas of season ticket sales, group, and individual game themed packages.
• Assist the intern and part-time program with oversight, guidance, and mentoring
• Assist in maintaining updated contact information and data in ticketing/CRM system
• Responsible for accurate and appropriate handling of cash, checks, credit cards and tickets
• Creativity, outside-of-the box thinking are essential for success
• Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field and two years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• 1-2 years’ experience working with ticket sales is preferred
• Understand the functions of CRM and daily use
• Ability to use Microsoft Office and programs
• Desire for a career in professional sports sales
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required For Successful Performance
• 1-2 years of Sales Ticketing experience, strong interpersonal and communication skills. Must have knowledge of Professional Sports Landscape.
