JOB TITLE: Dye Blender/Mixer (D/F Dye Blender Associate – 922)
REPORTS TO: Dyeing Production Manager
PURPOSE: Support Dyeing Department by weighing and mixing all dyes/chemical formulations used on the dye floor.
Responsibilities
• Knowledge of all general plant safety rules & safety absolutes.
• Operate equipment in a safe manner
• Process 1st quality cloth
• Meet production goals set-out by department manager
• Follow proper policies and procedures set out by department and location

General Requirements
• Basic written and communication skills
• Must be able to hear power equipment operating in work area
• Must be able to see clearly and pass pre-employment drug screening
• Ability to work rotating shifts, ranging from 8,10, 12 hours
Job Specific Responsibilites
• Knowledge of dye blending policies and procedures
• Knowledge of weights and measurements
• Completing daily team maintenance (DTM) activities
• Auditing safety items in department
• Dye floor Experience (Preferred)
Authorized Training Time
8 to 12 Weeks for 1st Certification in Dye Blending
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: FREQUENCY, AMOUNT, OR DESCRIPTION
• Standing: Ability to stand while operating dye blending position: 95% of day
• Sitting: Ability to sit down for a meeting: 5% of day
• Lifting: Ability to lift up to 50lbs: 40% of day
• Climbing: Ability to walk up stairs, etc. 40% of day
• Push/Pull/Reach: Ability to push/pull barrels, pouring dyes, reach for documents 40% of day
• Bending: Ability to pick up objects from the floor 5% of day
• Visual Acuity: Ability to read documents, computer screens 100% of day
• Walking: Ability to walk around the dye tanks 80% of day
• Housekeeping Ability to maintain a clean and organize work area 5% of day
