Material Handler 1st Shift
• This position will be responsible for supplying the production area with required materials, restocking unused materials from the production area and general housekeeping of the warehouse.
• Follow receiving procedures to insure a timely flow of materials and paperwork
• Job requires thorough knowledge of shipping and receiving routine, plant layout and raw, packaging and finished goods items
• Needs to have a working knowledge of simple office routines.
• Job requires considerable accuracy and dependability.
This position controls direct variable costs by accurately pulling and scanning orders using the First in First Out (FIFO) process to reduce downtime on production lines.
Major Areas of Accountability
• Supply materials to the production area using First in First Out (FIFO) on all transactions
• Maintain inventory transactions for stock movements and issues. Perform required computer entries.
• Restock unused materials returned from production area. This will include re-labeling cartons and/or pallets as necessary. Perform required computer entries.
• Assemble materials required for outside packaging work orders.
• Unloading of all delivery trucks in a safe and friendly manner.
• Transporting and storage of raw and packaging materials. Perform required computer entries.
• Safe housekeeping of the warehouse, which can include sweeping and scrubbing of warehouse floors as required.
• Assist and back-up to Warehouse Team Lead and to Shipping Clerk as requested.
• Drive forklifts in a manner that ensures the safety of all employees as well as Coloplast Corp. Assets.
• Assist in delivery of non-inventory package receipts to their proper location in a timely manner.
• Assist in developing performance goals to be utilized in job performance evaluation.
• Maintain accurate records to achieve and maintain a high level of inventory accuracy.
• Perform related duties upon request.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to spend time in an office environment as well as the production floor or warehouse area where the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, dust, and chemicals which are monitored and within acceptable OSHA levels.
Essential Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED.
• 3 years of warehouse experience.
• Ability to obtain forklift license if not already licensed.
• Computer knowledge required.
• Ability to lift 50 to 80 Lbs continually
• Job requires considerable accuracy and dependability

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
• The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities, be self-motivated and possess the ability to work independently.
• Microsoft Word and Excel are beneficial but not required.

• Comply with company standards for environment, health, and safety.
• Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with instructions from EHS and Supervisor/Lead.
• Immediately report unsafe conditions or job hazards to your Supervisor.
• Always wear required Personal Protective Equipment.
• Always follow warning signs and labels, e.g., “HOT”,”DANGER”, etc.
• Report accidents, injuries, illnesses, near misses and property damage to your Supervisor.
