Essential Science/Biology (GA)
POSITION SUMMARY: The Biology Teaching Assistant is responsible for assisting in grading the online portion of Sc 200 Essential Science for the Biology portion of the course. This responsibility is under the direction of the professor for the biology portion of the course.
Principle Duties And Responsibilities
Under the direction of the professor teaching the biology portion of SC 200 Essential Science, the graduate assistant will grade the online portion of the course and be available to provide feedback and clarification to students. The assistant will meet with the professor on a weekly basis, as needed, to assess progress and determine needs for the following week.
Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
• Consistent excellence in communications, especially written, is required.
• Excellent computer skills required, coupled with the ability to quickly learn new software suites and functionality.
• Must be able to manage time effectively.
• Must be able to work autonomously to achieve defined project goals.
• Must demonstrate strong attention to detail, adherence to deadlines, and consistent follow-through.
• Digital skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, Teams, Canvas Catalog, Articulate 360, etc.
• Must be familiar with the content of the biology portion of Essential Science

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree; Must be enrolled in post-graduate studies at BJU
