JOB DESCRIPTION Position Title: Student Intern (Culinary)
Reports to: Executive Chef
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Job Summary
As one of the premier clubs in the Southeast with two 18 hole golf courses, the internship with Greenville Country Club will give you the experience to collaborate closely with a seasoned mentor who will guide you through practical, hands-on projects and daily responsibilities within the culinary field.
Duties
Essential Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Serve members with a high level of integrity, have a positive attitude and a genuine desire to serve
• Support training efforts for new hires
• Assists with internal operations of kitchen management procedures
• Maintain sanitation and safety best practices and organization of kitchen
• Cook a variety of products on various pieces of equipment including sauté, grill, fryer and ovens
• Assists in daily food prep operations, creating menus, inventory management
• Provide excellent customer service and professionalism to all members
• Other duties, as assigned
Education And/or Experience
• Must be enrolled in a culinary program
• Previous club experience a plus
Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize projects
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results, as needed
Physical Requirements
• Hands on BOH experience
• Strong Culinary skills
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs or more
• Ability to bend, kneel, stand and lift throughout shift

• Professional with excellent communication skills
• Enthusiastic and organized
• Punctual and flexible
• Ability to work as part of a team and open to feedback
• Ability to work nights and weekends
Other Benefits
In addition to field experience, interns will be provided housing, paid an hourly rate and can expect to work 40+ hours each week. Pro ship discounts, uniforms and a meal allowance is also provided. Interns must have their own transportation. Selected interns will be given the opportunity to attend regularly scheduled CMAA meetings while employed.
