Job Overview:
We are in search of an accomplished and seasoned Food Safety and Quality Manager to enrich our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in formulating, executing, and overseeing the company's food safety and quality assurance initiatives. This position demands a profound understanding of regulatory requisites, industry benchmarks, and an unwavering dedication to upholding the highest standards of food safety and quality throughout our entire production process.
Responsibilities:
Develop and Implement Cutting-Edge Food Safety Programs:
• Craft, implement, and sustain robust food safety programs to ensure seamless compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct periodic assessments and audits to identify potential risks and institute corrective actions proactively.
Quality Assurance Mastery:
• Supervise the creation and upkeep of quality assurance programs, ensuring our products consistently meet or surpass industry and company benchmarks.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to instate and uphold stringent quality control measures at every phase of production.
Regulatory Compliance Prowess:
• Stay abreast of the ever-evolving landscape of food safety regulations and standards, ensuring our practices remain at the forefront of compliance.
• Engage with regulatory agencies, spearhead inspections, and adeptly manage responses to regulatory inquiries.
Supplier and Vendor Collaboration:
• Forge and sustain robust partnerships with suppliers and vendors to guarantee the quality and safety of incoming raw materials.
• Institute supplier quality assurance programs and execute supplier audits as deemed necessary.
Training and Education Leadership:
• Architect and deliver comprehensive training programs to enlighten our workforce on food safety and quality standards.
• Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement by instilling awareness and comprehension of best food safety practices.
Incident Management Expertise:
• Institute and execute protocols for handling and investigating food safety incidents, including the orchestration of product recalls.
• Collaborate seamlessly with pertinent departments to swiftly and effectively address and resolve incidents.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field; an advanced degree is a noteworthy advantage.
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in food safety and quality management.
• Proficient knowledge of pertinent food safety regulations and standards.
• Demonstrated proficiency in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Certification in food safety (e.g., HACCP, SQF, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
