Job Summary
The Assistant Teacher is the right hand of the Lead and would be responsible for a group of children when the Lead is absent. The Assistant and Lead would collaborate to oversee the care and well-being of the children assigned to them.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Plan educational activities, circle time and Bible based learning as part of the daily programming.
• Assist the Lead with curriculum, care of the children, and parent interactions.
• Interact daily with client families.
• Complete required record keeping.
• Help with meal planning, preparing, and serving.
• Maintain the health and safety of staff and children.
• Participate in continuing education opportunities.
Education Requirements: Training or Education regarding early childhood education
Further Required Qualifications: experience working in a licensed child care environment; excellent communication skills; knowledge of safety training and regulations for family child care facilities; pass a background check with fingerprinting.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.50 - $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
