Purpose:
Under supervision within the piping discipline, you will assist in the delivery of design and drafting services to Worley and its customers.
Responsibilities:.
Under supervision you will:
• Update drawings to reflect as-build conditions using mark-ups provided by the piping installation contractors
• Participate in site visits to gather information and data as needed
• Assist senior piping designers and other team members with numerous tasks on projects when required.
• Deliver piping and layout design and drafting services that meet Worley and customer requirements
• Perform design and drafting assignments on projects while meeting project requirements on time and within budget
• Identify and report changes to project scope
• Prepare engineering drawings and documentation
• Communicate effectively with the piping team and project stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain good working relationships within Worley
• Identify issues and problems and ask for assistance when required
What you will bring
Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements:
• 3 or less years of experience in piping design for power s generation and industrial facilities is required, chemical facilities a plus. Also, 1 year of AVEVA E3D experience is desirable. Has a basic understanding of regulations, codes, manufacturing standards, and industry standard practices.
• Experience with the application of Microstation V8i & AutoCAD
• Developing skills in design software.
• Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
Required:
• 2 or 3 year technical diploma with piping design specific training.
Preferred:
• An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
