With a population of over 19,000, the district covers 365 square miles and serves communities including Cambria, Courtland, Essig, Hanska, Klossner, Lafayette, New Ulm, St. George, and Searles. The district is committed to providing quality education to approximately 2100 students from grades K-12.
Role Description
Under the direction of the Business Manager, the Payroll Coordinator will coordinate and process all payrolls, calculate and maintain the employee time-off system, submit required reporting to various federal, state, and local agencies, review and process FMLA requests, and assist with communication, collection and management of employee benefits.
Skills and Abilities
• Coordinate district-wide payroll functions in a timely and efficient manner
• Good oral and written communications
• Strong organization skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
• Highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, department heads, and community members
