Full job description
AmeriStaff is currently seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Pro Shop Attendant to fill an opening in Martinsville, VA. The ideal candidate should have a passion for golf, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively. This is a viable role in providing excellent service to members and guests in the golf shop.
Benefits of the Shop Attendant:
• Sunday-Saturday.
• 7:00am-5:00pm.
• Pay: $12.50 per hour
Requirements of the Shop Attendant:
• Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a retail or golf environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals.
• Knowledge of golf equipment, terminology, and industry trends is desirable.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Physical ability to lift and carry golf equipment and perform tasks such as bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
Responsibilities of the Shop Attendant:
• Greet members and guests warmly as they enter the shop.
• Answer phones and respond to inquiries regarding tee times, merchandise, and general information about the facility.
• Assist customers in selecting golf merchandise, providing product information, and processing transactions accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pro shop, including regular club cleaning and display merchandise.
• Maintain golf bag storage and ensure they are cleaned and club count is accurate and maintained.
• Manage golf cart storage and retrieval, ensuring carts are cleaned, charged, and ready for use.
• Assist in ball pick up of driving range and putting practice area.
• Provide excellent member support by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience for all patrons.
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving shipments, restocking shelves, and conducting periodic inventory counts.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service throughout the facility.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
