The Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for reviewing and updating health records, measuring vital signs, and preparing treatment rooms for upcoming examinations.Essential Functions: Provides excellent customer service skills by greeting patients and the community in a respectful manner Prepares & reviews patient charts for upcoming visits by verifying that all diagnostic test results, hospital reports, and other medical records are correct and up to dateMeasures vital signs such as pulse rate, respiration, blood pressure, weight, and height Performs departmental-related clerical duties such as checking inventory, stock supplies, track referrals, and answer phones as needed Must possess the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly Other duties as assignedEducation:High School Degree or GEDLicensure/Certification:Active Medical Assisting Certification (required)Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (preferred upon hire, required within 90 days of hire)Experience:One year of medical assistant healthcare experience (preferred, not required)Two years of clerical experience in a physician’s office (preferred, not required)Skills & Abilities:Possesses problem-solving skills, basic computer skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skillsEngage with staff and patients in a professional mannerORJob Summary:The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for the delivery of patient care under the direction of the Physician. The LPN functions as an integral part of the health care team to provide the highest quality of care to the patient by preparing and assessing patients for provider visits.
