Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking the best Virginia licensed Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants with Hospitalist experience available for a newly opened locum tenens opportunity in Lexington, VA starting as soon as possible.
Opportunity Specifics:
• Contract: Locum Tenens
• 25-Bed Critical Access Hospital
• Shift: Nights (7:00pm - 7:00am)
• Open ICU
• No Procedures
• EMR: EPIC
• Our hospitalists maintain a fair and manageable daily census w/ on-call physician available on night shift
• Excellent support and collegiality with nursing, ancillary staff, and specialists.
• Administrative and leadership teams are highly accessible and cooperative.
Hospitalist Expectations • Primary clinical responsibilities revolves around ED patients include admitting, rounding, discharges, consultative services for the specialities.
• Distribute morning census to the team and triage admitted patients from the Emergency Department.
• Work collaboratively with specialists, which involves pre-operative assessments and co-management of patients.
• Managing a broad spectrum of patient diagnosis.
• Commit to providing exceptional quality of care and experiences to the patient community.
• Flexible and responsive to patient needs and unexpected staffing changes.

Provider Requirements: • Active Virginia State License and Unrestricted DEA
• Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Minimum of one year of Hospitalist Experience
• Clear Personal & Professional Background preferred
