Description: Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of equipment and facilities within Cabinotch. This may include conducting routine inspections, performing repairs, maintenance tasks, and troubleshooting issues as they arise. The Cabinotch Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance tasks that include but are not limited to the troubleshooting and repair of electrical circuits (480VAC and below), PLC’s, A.C. and D.C. drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, mechanical, plumbing, ducting, piping, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and other building systems. Duties/Responsibilities: Conducting regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues or areas of improvement. Implementing preventative maintenance plans as scheduled by team lead to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability. Performing preventative maintenance (PM) tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting equipment to ensure optimal performance. Repairing or replacing faulty or damaged equipment or components, such as motors, pumps, valves, or electrical systems. Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions or issues and determining the root cause of the problem. Coordinating with supervisor of production teams to ensure timely and effective maintenance and repairs. Maintaining a safe and clean work environment by adhering to safety regulations and guidelines and following proper cleaning and sanitation procedures. Ensure work orders are executed on time, on budget, without compromising safety. Collaborates with Team Lead to discuss upcoming work assignments. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and costs. Practice the “5S” framework within the Maintenance Department and all projects. Providing training and support to other employees on proper equipment operation and maintenance procedures. Continuously learning and staying up to date on industry developments, technologies, safety and best practices in equipment and repair. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements: Required Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of Industrial Multi-Skilled Maintenance. Ability to follow instructions from Team Lead and/or Supervisor. Time Management – be able to prioritize tasks effectively to ensure that all maintenance is completed on time and to a high standard. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong decisive action Attention to detail Must be able to work independently or as a team. Ability to identify issues and to determine repairs that are needed. Communicate effectively with others Adapt to changing priorities and deadlines Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software as needed to complete reports, logs, and inventory. Work from ladders. Work from scaffolding. Drive an Industrial Truck. Use a manlift and an articulating boom. Work safely on and around energized electrical circuit. Education and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent required. Related experience preferred. Plant specific, On-the-job training offered Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Must be able to traverse property and facility to complete repairs or maintenance. Must be physically able to perform repairs when needed. Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time. Salary Structure: $23 - $25 per hour. Salary may also be negotiated and compensated based on experience as it relates to the above stated prerequisites.
