Essential Functions Ensures that booked drives are planned and executed correctly, efficiently, and successfully. Assists Donor Resource Account Managers and Senior Account Managers ensuring all information is accurate on HemaCollect calendars and assuring the calendar is always booked 3 months out. Establishes patronage and relationships with blood donors and sponsors. Recruits, educates, motivates, and assists with all goals and assignments assigned. Supports blood drives through tele recruitment. Contributes to the overall production goals of the center. Participates in all employee-sponsored blood drives. Attend educational programs and meetings. Blood Drives Serves as the onsite representative to recruit donors and assist with blood drive efficiency. Requests marketing materials and promotional giveaways. Assists in booking emergency blood drives. Works closely with all departmental staff to work out restrictions of the blood drives to the best benefit both Donor Resources and Donor Services. HemaCollect/HemaConnect Well versed in every detail of Hema Collect and Hema Connect. Responsible for making notations of Holidays, Closings, or notices of special instruction on the calendars, as assigned. Shares the responsibilities of the assigned Account Manager regarding goal and calendar expectations. Customer Service Displays the highest quality of customer service to all sponsors, patrons, donors, and co-workers. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent Experience working with the public. Valid Driver’s License with no major infractions and dependable transportation Customer service, marketing, clinical, and/or sales experience. Exercises discretion and judgment in performance of duties. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook) Ability to communicate effectively, tactfully, and courteously to patrons, donors, sponsors, and co-workers. Ability to sell The Blood Connection to all groups in the community by carrying our message of community service. Demonstrates the persona necessary for skillfully asking for blood drives and handling rejection, when given by groups, with professionalism and a positive attitude. Ability to follow up respectfully with accounts. Possess the aptitude for continued skill development.
