Cabinotch an industry leader in the manufacture and distribution of cabinet components, is seeking highly motivated Team Members for our shipping department, this is a full-time position. Job Summary: The Shipping Associate is responsible for efficiently and accurately processing incoming/outgoing shipments. This role involves packaging products, generating shipping labels, and ensuring that orders are shipped in a timely manner. The Shipping Associate plays a crucial role in meeting customer delivery expectations and maintaining the overall efficiency of the shipping department. Key Responsibilities: Order Processing: Review and prioritize outgoing orders based on shipping deadlines. Gather, package, and prepare products for shipment. Ensure accuracy in order picking and packing. Labeling and Documentation: Generate shipping labels and packing slips. Complete shipping documentation and customs forms as required. Verify the completeness and accuracy of all shipping documents. Inventory Management: Report low stock levels to the team lead for reorder. Quality Assurance: Inspect packaged orders to ensure they meet quality standards. Identify and report any damaged or defective products to the team lead. Address quality-related issues promptly to avoid shipping errors. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while handling materials and equipment. Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and requirements. Safely operate any equipment used in the shipping process, such as Forklift or pallet jacks. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics or related fields is a plus. Previous experience in shipping or warehouse operations is a plus. Forklift experience Basic computer skills for data entry and label generation. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Physical capability to lift and move packages, sometimes of significant weight. Ability to stand and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy packages, often up to 50 pounds. Standing, walking, and bending for extended periods. Working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures. This is based on our regular 45 hour work week, with overtime after 40, at $16.50/hour. Salary Description $34,000 - $41,000
