Promising Futures is growing our team of full-time Early Intervention Specialists in Greenville County. An Early Interventionist provides developmental instruction to families of developmentally delayed and at-risk children, ages birth through five. We help families identify their strengths and weaknesses & assist them in helping their children with their development. We support families & coordinate other additional services for the families. Our individualized instruction is provided via home visits to the child’s home or childcare setting. Promising Futures is a small, family-centered Early Intervention company in Upstate SC. Ideal candidates must possess organizational skills , must have strong communication skills , must understand child development , must be motivated to help children grow and develop, and must be reliable . Minimum requirements for interested candidates are a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood, Education, Psychology, or a related field, along with 1 year professional experience working with children from infant to toddler or one (1) year of documented experience working with infants and toddlers OR one (1) year of documented experience working with children ages birth to 5 years with disabilities OR Bachelor’s Degree in ANY field and 5 years of documented experience with infants and toddlers OR children age birth to 5 years with disabilities. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform Home visits to Educate & Coach families on effective strategies to assist their children in improving their development and meeting their family’s goals; Assess children’s and families’ needs; Assist families in understanding their child’s needs and development; Development of Individualized Service Plans; Provide Service Coordination to assist families in securing services; Promptly and Accurately document all actions for billing purposes; Maintain qualifications and training through continuing education seminars, workshops, etc; Adhere to all BabyNet and SC Department of Disabilities and Special Needs guidelines.
