JOB SUMMARY:
The Machine Operator at the giblet room prepares and maintains machine operation during the production process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
• Operates machine while adhering to any safety measures that the machine may require
• Responsible for producing product according to schedule and customer needs
• Take a proactive role in assuring safe, quality products are produced by immediately addressing any safety or quality concerns
• Additional duties may be assigned at the request by the Supervisors.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :
N/A
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE :
• High Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months of experience and/or training; or the combination equivalent of both education and experience.
• 6-12 months of employment history required for position.
LANGUAGE SKILLS :
For the individual to be successful in this department, they must possess the ability to communicate effectively with fellow team members (English) . Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals . Must possess basic computer skills as well as have a strong attention to detail. The individual must be able to perform all required duties under minimal supervision.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
COMPUTER SKILLS :
Understanding personal computer applications and tools.
FOOD SAFETY:
Take a proactive role in assuring safe, quality products are produced by immediately addressing any safety or quality concerns.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must have a valid driver’s License.
