JOB SUMMARY:
The warehouse team lead is responsible for overseeing the Warehouse area as well as helping to keep the department flowing efficiently while maintaining quality to a high standard.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
•           Be on the floor to help monitor operational processes (meaning: “You are responsible for your area”)
•           Assist in the training of new team members; ensure they follow proper safety procedures
•           Ensure consistent product /workflow is always maintained
•           Engage with the team members, “really get to know your team members!”
•           Ensure all pallets are picked accurately and loaded properly
•           Drive and Participate in Continuous Improvement Activities (i.e. identify, communicate and assist in identifying and resolving process deviations and other process related issues)
•           Assist and facilitate the team member huddle meetings
•           Assist in the co-ordination of work assignments
•           Perform physical tasks as needed; and ensure the entire team are following good manufacturing practices
•           Ensure all PPE is being always worn, including masks
•           Have near perfect attendance “Lead by Example” Know the importance of being here daily and on time
•           If you see something that is a violation of our Key Expectations, Act and inform your Supervisor Immediately
•           Maintain good housekeeping standards to prevent incidents (e.g.  slip/falls)
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise and train team members so that they’re fully capable of implementing the Company’s policies and procedures.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to speak English, read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
