Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Special Education Teacher role located in Greenwood, SC. The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for providing educational instruction and support to students with disabilities in an elementary/middle school setting. The role will involve planning and implementing individualized education plans, adapting instructional materials, collaborating with other educators and support staff, and monitoring student progress.
Qualifications
• Experience in teaching students with disabilities and implementing special education strategies
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Knowledge of elementary and middle school curriculum and instructional practices
• Ability to create and adapt instructional materials to meet individual student needs
• Ability to assess and monitor student progress and make necessary adjustments to instructional strategies
• Ability to create specialized, differentiated lessons plans
• Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
• Valid teaching certification/license in Special Education
