Job Summary:
The Field Service Representative (FSR) helps people move and live better every day by ensuring they have the orthopaedic durable equipment (DME) products prescribed by their physician.
Reports to FSR Supervisor.
Supervises No one.
Looking for Someone Who is:
• Team minded – The FSR works cohesively with their local sales team, clinical providers and corporate countherparts to ensure desired outcomes.
• Attentive to detail – To ensure the successful billing of DME products thru health insurances pertinent information much be provided.
• Adaptable – Health care is an ever-evolving field so one must be able to change with it to ensure we are providing patients with the best possible products.
• Energetic – Days can be face paced and can often require moving from task to task like fitting patients, processing paperwork, handling returns and checking in/managing inventory.
• Eager to learn – The FSR becomes a subject matter expert over time.
• Technologically savvy – The processing for claims can take the FSR thru a variety of EMR programs, Microsoft Outlook and websites for completion.
Skills and Competencies:
Preferred
• Bachelor’s degree-Completion of an Orthopedic Technology, Athletic Trainer or Physical Therapy program and be certified by the governing board of that field or equivalent orthopedic experience required. Board for Orthotics/Prosthetics certification (BOC) a plus.
OR
• 2+ years experience in a hospital, clinic, or office, or as an independent contractor working directly in the care of the orthopedic patient or related experience. Demonstrated experience with the application of soft goods/functional bracing, dealing with multiple patients in a high-volume setting.
