PrideStaff Greenville is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Tech on behalf of our client in Greenville, SC.
We have an immediate need for a skilled and reliable Quality Assurance Tech, who will visually inspect and check variety of parts or processes for conformity to drawings or specifications using direct reading and adjustable gauges. This is a climate-controlled environment.
In this position, Quality Assurance Tech will:
• Inspects parts for compliance to specifications following standardized methods in repetitive sampling.
• Receiving inspections according to inspection plans.
• Process monitoring and inspections according to procedures and control plans
• Diversified first piece, process, and sampling or final floor inspection of parts or products.
• Carry out packaging and shipping audits following written Standard Operation Procedures
• Use precision measuring instruments, micrometers, gage blocks, veneer calipers, meters, and indicators.
• Log results and Make reports on projects.
• Report/ release material to the Finished part warehouse.
• Report defects to the supervisor and Initiate action when processes become unstable or inspections fail.
For this position, Quality Assurance Tech must:
• Previous Quality Assurance Tech
• Ability to measure precisely, using measuring instruments, micrometers, vernier calipers, gage blocks, meters, and indicators
• Knowledge of Metrics and SPC (preferred)
• Be reliable and strong in attendance
• Capability to stand, stoop, bend, reach, and routinely lift heavy objects
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally 10 to 15 lbs regularly
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred
• Ability to distinguish colors
• Must be able to stand for complete 8 hour shift
