JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION:               Attendant, Pool
FLSA: Non-Exempt
DEPARTMENT: Recreation
REPORTS TO: Manager
SUMMARY: To handle the day-to-day operations of the pool. Monitoring of access to the pool by checking for appropriate Wintergreen Passes, while being knowledgeable of all Wintergreen issued passes. Keep all pool areas clean and stocked. Checking on bathroom facilities and taking the necessary action to be sure they are ready for our guests. Completing daily pool maintenance such as vacuuming the pool, scrubbing tiles and any other task assigned by the Manager. Complete opening and closing checklists. Follow all operating standards.

• Lead by example for a safe work environment.
• Smile and greet guests in a friendly manner.
• Report to work on time and prepared for all scheduled shifts.
• Must be in uniform at all times.
• Follow all opening, closing and daily operating procedures.
• Keep work area, restrooms, and park neat and clean.
• Must follow policies and procedures outlined in the Wintergreen Handbook.
• Needs to be able to take on additional tasks and assignments assigned by the Lake Supervisor and Manager .
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of: • Must follow policies and procedures outlined in the Wintergreen Handbook.
Skill & Abilities in: • Using initiative, discretion, and judgment within established procedures, guidelines, and rules.
• Communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Reading and interpreting a variety of charts and gauges.
Education, Training and Experience Guidelines: High school diploma OR GED equivalent.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT: • Physical demands on the incumbent consist of sitting, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling; using hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and lifting and carrying moderately heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
