Road Construction Junior Estimator
Job Responsibilities:
Cost Estimation: Collaborate with project managers and other team members to prepare accurate cost estimates for road construction projects, ensuring all aspects of the project are considered.
Data Analysis: Analyze project requirements, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects.
Vendor and Supplier Communication: Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for the estimation process.
Documentation: Maintain organized and detailed records of all estimates, including assumptions, methodologies, and pricing information.
Cost Negotiation: Assist in negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure the most cost-effective solutions for the company.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to understand project requirements and provide support as needed.
Qualifications: Strong analytical and mathematical skills; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other estimating software is a plus; Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines; Willingness to learn and grow within the company.
