Experience in fast paced hospital setting that involves delivery of supplies multiple times per day.
Position Summary
This position performs manual and clerical duties related to delivery and stocking of medical supplies needed throughout the hospital . It involves lifting heavy objects (up to 50lbs.), pushing a delivery cart, and assisting with unloading within the unit. The position also involves returning inventory to warehouse from various hospital service areas that may be damaged or expired. Supervision of student worker orderly team is involved.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
• Basic computer and arithmetic skills.
• Skills in operating automotive, materials handling, and office equipment.
• Detail-oriented, observant, and safety conscious.
Physical Demands
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day on hard floor surfaces.
• Manual dexterity to work with small, delicate pieces of equipment or large heavy objects/containers/machinery.
• Work for long periods of time with arms extended.

• Assists in picking stock from warehouse and delivering to hospital service area in need.
• Will put stock out in certain areas including Cubex machines.
• Will return damaged and expired inventory items back to warehouse for processing.

• Assists warehouse team with audits of expired floor stock items within service areas and Cubex along with warehouse storage.
• Will assist with stocking inventory shelves by the appropriate hospital inventory numbers.
• Supervision of student workers on the hospital orderly team that delivers supplies to over 25 service areas in the hospital.
