Teacher Assistant
Job Description
The Teacher Assistant will assist and support the Program Coordinators, Assistant & Center Director with the overall day to day center management by overseeing and managing their classroom. They will deliver a high quality Early Childhood program, establishing professional, positive relationships with parents, children, colleagues and the community.
They will conduct regular observations and develop plan of actions, if needed, to ensure the quality of care for the children. They will ensure that their program promotes the development of each child’s physical, social, emotional and cognitive development, in a nurturing, Developmentally Appropriate Environment. They will model exemplary professionalism and work within the structure outlined by our company's Policies and Procedures, the Standards of Licensing and Accreditation. They will ensure safety and supervision of children at all times by meeting the physical demands of the position and be able to substitute in the classroom, as a driver and/or cook as needed.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
• Reports to the Program Director/Center Director/Assistant Director/Dean of Students on any staff or program matters and in regard to children and/or parents
