Position Summary
The University of Georgia Enterprise IT Services ( EITS ) division is seeking an experienced project manager to oversee projects for the UGA community that involve EITS resources. The individual in this position will provide project management support to EITS teams including project reports and documentation, meeting facilitation, and other project coordination tasks to assist the organization in managing and prioritizing numerous mission critical projects for UGA .
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
• Demonstrated skill in project management frameworks, managing projects from initiation to completion, creating and maintaining project plans, and providing project management services to clients.
• Demonstrated experience facilitating and documenting change management efforts necessary to ensure end user adoption.
• Excellent written, oral, and facilitation communication skills.

Apply formal project management principles and practices during the planning, implementation, monitoring, and completion of projects.
• Create detailed project plans for completion of tasks that consider schedules, dependencies, institutional priorities, and resource limitations and conflicts.
• Coordinate efforts of project teams to facilitate cooperation and prevent delays.
• Develop and maintain standard project management documentation, such as project charters, project plans, timeline visuals, risk registers, issues logs, meeting agendas and summaries, and project status reports.
• Proactively oversee project execution by following up on the completion of tasks, reporting potential delays to management, and coordinating problem resolution efforts in the event of technical difficulties.

Coordinate strategic projects that involve large-scale communications, end user engagement, and change management techniques to ensure objectives and timelines are met.
• Create detailed communications plans that focus on driving project delivery, promoting services and initiatives to campus, and end user engagement.
• Apply industry standard public relations methods and technical writing skills to liaise between the technical and business communities on campus.
• Lead efforts for developing standards for maintaining end user resources such as web pages, self-service articles, and support requests.
• Utilize change management methodologies to prepare impacted stakeholders and support end user adoption brought about by institutional projects.

• Lead or attend regular meetings to update leadership, staff, clients, and the UGA community on the progress of projects.

• Develop and facilitate formal presentations to project stakeholders when needed.
• Coordinate communications between functional and technical teams.
