We are seeking a motivated individual to join our RD – Reading site’s Maintenance team based in Reading, PA. The ideal candidate for the Maintenance Planner improves the maintenance work force productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating delays through planning and coordination of manpower, parts / materials and equipment access. Specific area of responsibilities is to effectively Plan & Schedule (P&S) all plan-able maintenance activities. Describing a job in terms of how it is to be performed, what resources are required and estimating how many man-hours will be required to finish the work.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Maintenance Planner will report to the Maintenance Manager and have responsibilities within the following key areas:
• Scope the full extent of maintenance work needed to conduct the relevant repair / preventive / predictive / design-out activities on the organization’s plant and equipment.
• Develop cost and time estimates of planned maintenance work.
• Detailed flow diagram of planning and scheduling business processes with all necessary interactions required and persons involved.
• Determine appropriate action in relation to the prioritizing of maintenance activities and the allocation of maintenance resources in conjunction with production management.
• Able and competent in root cause failure analysis leadership and investigations
• Ensure key performance indicators are captured and reported for equipment reliability, back log management and planning and scheduling compliance metrics.
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations to assign manpower and resources for the most critical jobs for that given week. Planner must be organized and capable to project multiple weeks’ schedule.
Qualifications
Required:
2-5 Years Planning Experience preferred.
SAP system knowledge
Proficient in Microsoft Suite
Mechanical and Control background
AAS in Mechanical or Control technology preferred.
