Preferred Qualifications Position Summary
The Domestic Admissions Specialist is responsible for assisting with the processing of applications for admission to graduate programs. In addition, this position is responsible for answering the main phone line for Graduate Student Services and responding to emails for Graduate Admissions. This position will also assist with removing holds and processing transcripts.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
• Excellent customer service skills
• The ability to perform in a fast-paced office environment
• Accuracy and attention to detail are essential
• Experience with Microsoft Office systems, including Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel databases
• Knowledge of Banner, Athena, and Slate is desired.

Duties/Responsibilities
Admissions duties:
• Track applications
-Cross-check document databases for application completion
-Import needed documents
-Check for GRE requirement
-Assess qualification of TOEFL / IELTS waiver
• Update applications with documents as applicants submit new materials
• Clear holds once admitted
• Troubleshoot issues with application with applicants and departments
• Connect students with appropriate academic department or resource on campus
• Process transcripts from domestic applicants
• Assist with Orientation
