• Position Summary:
• The Cancer Registrar maintains essential quality data related to patients in a computerized Cancer Registry. The Registrar serves as a resource person to TWCC, SRHC and other entities in the community and region; interacts with the medical staff and their employees; supports a positive work environment in the Cancer Program; maintains a strong knowledge of the accreditation requirements; and helps to maintain accreditation status. The Registrar abstracts data in a timely and accurate fashion.
• POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum Education
• Associate degree in Health Information Management/ cancer registry, business, data or health related field
• Minimum Experience
• Experience in cancer treatment or health related field preferred
• Cancer registry experience preferred
• Required Registration/License/Certification
