Server Asst
Job Description
Under supervision of the Restaurant Manager, the server assistant is to assist the server in prompt and polite service to the customers.
Duties And Responsibilities
• Assists servers in their tasks
• Ensures all service stations in the kitchen are stocked and ready for service.
• Removes soiled dishes from table; brings to dish washing area.
• Completes set up and teardown of events if occurring.
• Carry food to tables using proper food service techniques.
• Sets tables with glassware and rollups.
• Completes side tasks when time allows.
• Stocks and restocks server stations with supplies.
• Maintains cleanliness of all dining and patio areas.
• Dusts chairs and high chairs before and after meals.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
• Less than High School Education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be self-motivated and customer service oriented.
• Strong interpersonal as well as written and oral communication skills.
• Team player, organized worker, excellent customer relations.
• Reliable and predictable attendance.
• Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions; killed in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
• Excellent hygiene and well groomed.
Physicality Requirements
• 100% -- Stands during entire shift.
• 90% -- Verbally communicates with customers in person and/or phone.
• 75% -- Reaches, bends and stoops frequently.
• 20% -- Carries 35 lbs. Highchair/heavy trays about ten times per shift. over medium distances (20-30 feet).
