Overview: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. As a Janitor, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our facilities. This is a vital role in ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for our employees and visitors. Duties: - Perform custodial duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming - Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas - Empty trash receptacles and replace liners - Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when restocking is necessary - Perform floor care tasks including buffing, waxing, and polishing - Assist with setting up and tearing down for events or meetings - Follow established safety protocols and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) - Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department Experience: - Previous experience in commercial or industrial cleaning preferred - Knowledge of custodial practices and techniques - Familiarity with floor care equipment such as buffers and polishers - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision - Strong attention to detail and time management skills Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
