Thank you for considering a career at Mercy HealthReports to Title: Imaging Manager# of Direct Reports: 0Primary Function/General Purpose of Position Provides direct care to patients, residents, clients in need of assistance during their imaging procedure. This role completes duties as assigned by the Lead Technologist or designated healthcare professional in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and within the policies, procedures and guidelines of Mercy Health.Essential Job Functions​Provides direct patient care under the supervision of the lead technologist or licensed sonographer.Assists with procedures as defined by department specific standards.Properly introduces him/herself to patients waiting for diagnostic imaging procedures.Verifies identity of patient by name and birthdate.Escorts patient to imaging dressing area and facilitates patient getting dressed properly for imaging procedure.Presents patients with a professional demeanor.Assists with patient post procedure care.Contributes to the evaluation of the patient’s response to interventions through observation and communication.Actively participates in departmental performance improvement projects, attends, and participates in department meetings.This document is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements, or working conditions associated with the job.
