Description The City of Owensboro Finance department is seeking an experienced, well-organized, customer-service oriented person to join our team as Occupational Revenue Clerk. Starting pay $25.1023/hr.

Examples of Duties This is a professional position which may be assigned to any one or more of the following:
• Collecting tax revenue from the public;
• Obtaining financial data to maintain accounting records;
• Performing clerical/bookkeeping duties;
• Processing mail;
• Filing invoices.
As assigned, work may also involve:
• Processing account payables;
• Verifying and posting transaction details;
• Computing and recording charges, refunds, and other items;
• Preparing/reconciling reports, statements, and other records/documents;
• Distributing tax information to the public;
• Performing data entry;
• Answering phones;
• Typing;
• Filing;
• Producing spreadsheets;
• Providing excellent customer service to the public
Typical Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS (Required at time of application):
• Associates Degree in Accounting or other closely related field.
• Valid driver's license required
• Equivalent amount of education and/or experience is acceptable.
