About the Role: The Accounts Payable Specialist will process transactions related to purchasing and accounts payable for goods and/or services on a timely basis in accordance with internal control policies. In addition, will provide support for general accounting duties. This position reports to the CFO and is an integral part of the accounting and administration group. Key Responsibilities: Purchasing of medical and office supplies. Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors. Review and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness. Match invoices with purchase order and receiving documents. Perform accurate and timely processing of accounts payable transactions, including coding invoices, routing invoices for approval, entering invoices into accounting system, and issuing checks or ACH payments. Identify and resolve vendor issues, reconcile statements, confirm payments are processed timely, and ensure vendor information is up to date. Administration of the company’s corporate credit card program. Employee expense reimbursement. General ledger account set up and financial report maintenance. Month end close process for accounts payable. Maintain spreadsheets for tracking various expenditures. Assist with leased vehicle program. Maintain computer and equipment inventory. Run errands for the clinic. Perform other duties as assigned. Candidate Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree in accounting or two years of relevant accounting experience (preferred) Advanced knowledge and understanding of general accounting principles including general ledger concepts. Strong organizational and time management skills with a high level of attention to detail. Display professionalism in working with all departments and employees, maintaining confidentiality. Abilities and proven experience in identifying and executing process improvements and opportunities to increase efficiency. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook. Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills to effectively work with a variety of managers, and employees and other departments. Valid driver’s license required. Schedule: Full-time position M-F 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with flexibility. Benefits: Full-time employees are eligible for health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance.
